BELSONCORR-HSS-120 Heat Shrink Sleeves, Three Layer Polyethylene system,  consist of a radiation cross-linked heat shrinkable backiņg, coated on the inside with a heat Activated adhesive. While the modified polyethylene material of the backing offers superior mechanical protection, the specially formulated adhesive offers excellent corrosion protection under demanding conditions. The system is suitable for most of the common pipeline coatings like PE,PP, FBE, 3LPE, 3LPP etc

BELSONCORR-HSS-120 Heat Shrink Sleeves have excellent performance under any soil conditions and environment and ensure 100% structural integrity, and provide the Pipeline with longterm protection against corrosion, mechanical and chemical attack. Technology used in it ensuring high abrasion resistance and Cathodic disbondment performance even in waterbed areas.

Properties

  1. Corrosion Protection: HSS provides excellent corrosion protection by creating a barrier between the pipeline and the environment.
  2. Mechanical Protection: The sleeves offer mechanical protection against abrasion and soil stress forces after the pipeline is buried.
  3. Adhesion: They have an adhesive that sticks the sleeve to the material and the factory-applied mainline coating, ensuring a secure fit.
  4. Flexibility: HSS is flexible and can conform to various shapes and sizes of pipelines.

Applications

  1. Pipeline Construction: Used to protect the cutback areas of pipelines where sections are welded together.
  2. Field Joints: Applied to field joints during the construction of a pipeline to ensure continuous protection.
  3. Repair: Used to repair damaged pipeline coatings and provide additional protection.
